Hey Guys, Welcome back!This vglog is from our last trip to Haven. We verify reviews to ensure the traveller booked with Expedia Group. I really enjoy staying at Devon Cliffs as it has alot to offer in comparison to other Haven sites in the country. One staff member was very rude when asked if there was any pies available he said no.. then for another member of staff to walk in and say yes there is. The owners provided extra outdoor furniture which enabled the rest of the family who were staying on the site to join us. You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property that is caused by you or your party during your stay. All caravans, whether Haven owned or otherwise, have standards which have to be met and we will not consider anything for letting which does not meet our standards. Our caravan comes complete with bedding at your request and will be made up before your arrive using fresh clean linen, if you are staying for longer than 1 week we can clean it once a week with fresh bedding and linen as required (chargeable service) Will definitely book again if we visit the area . The mattress on all 5 beds was diabolical, every spring could be felt and was so uncomfortable to lie on.. reception contacted and advised new mattresses would be delivered, however because our caravan was a privately owned caravan and not a haven one we couldnt have the mattresses replaced, (we was told this when the maintenance person actually arrived) but extra duvets was given as a topper to the mattresses.. receptionist clearly was unaware of this rule.. Pet friendly, 2 bedroom caravan. We recently returned from a 2 weeks holiday at Little Sea we paid extra for a platinum caravan which is supposed to be more luxurious than a standard caravan. Devon Cliffs has a pretty big complex with the arcade, soft play, small food court and bar all in 1 room so the kids can enjoy themselves whilst adulta can be at the bar or order food. The bathroom needed a lot of TLC The caravan was however spotlessly clean as was the linen on the beds ( nice to have already made) We reported that our bathroom light did not work on day 2 this was not fixed during our stay Site It is a little off putting as you drive through an industrial estate to get to the park however its lovely once you get there The site is barrier entrance with a guy checking your keys or pass as you go inAll areas off the site we saw were clean, plenty of bins and a lot of maintenance workers keeping up with repairs You overlook a lagoon and there is some stunning views from the fields surrounding the park Popular with dog owners ! One day we returned from a day out and the security guard at the main gate was not going to let us back onto the site as our passes had expired no one had informed us we needed to renew the passes once we did renew them we got 3 which is what we should of had in the first place. If you are renting from Haven you will find most of them do not have decking, but if you are renting a private caravan via Haven then it will depend on what the owners have done to it. We will definitely be going back with simply holidays. (but cleaned by ourselves with bleach it was ok) Numerous other things felt well below par, but too many to mentionThe grounds of the complex etc are kept very well and clean, the swimming pool was nice, but so slippy my 2 year old fell over numerous times because of how slippy the floors was , (even holding my hand) the staff though was constantly mopping the floors I presume because they are aware of howSlippy the floors get( doesnt take much for rubber mats to be placed in certain areas of the changing rooms)The staff was polite in all areas of the complex, the childrens entertainers was ok, some better than others a few in particular could do with being spoken to by management with their behaviour (when they dont realise they are being watched by parents) The fairytale story telling in bugsys at 10:30 amOne day in particular , the young girl being the fairy (story teller) used language which wasnt appropriate for toddlers, using the words repeatedly farting, and minger in her story telling to the kids, these words being actually spoken about a fellow child fromThe audience a few of us all looked at each other in disbelief kids mostly 2-3 years old listening..We didnt eat in the complexs restaurants so cannot comment , but this was due to the prices The amusements are great and kids loved them..All in all, we would return but with a better understanding of the caravans tier system in quality and the difference between being allocated a private and haven caravanMore, Dear Guest,Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts following your stay with us although I'm really sorry to firstly see that you accommodation was not to your liking.
